It’s not uncommon for them to be as far south as the Central Savannah River area. They do make the news but it’s more of a formality. Unfortunately/fortunately there aren't as many large predators as there were 20 years ago. Panthers used to be common as well but are now dwindling or moving toward other food sources.

Terrible drivers are terrible drivers whether it’s a truck or a BMW or smart car. I live in the Southeast where the majority of the pickup drivers are real drivers outside of the punk kids and the biggest issue with parking spots and lane departure are soccer moms in minivans or $90k SUVs and BMW drivers in general. I

I bought an SVX to fill this gap for me... Now I have an SVX and a BRZ because the SVX is is now runnable but I’m too scared it’ll break again when I drive it.

I get that, even two or three days a week can add up but I live 25 miles from my nearest co-worker so I don’t have this option at all. If my car doesn’t start in the morning I’m screwed.

I thought about purchasing the tS earlier this year when I was ready to buy a BRZ but realized the first thing I was going to do was remove the wing. I went with the power package and feel like a got a better deal. I will however enjoy burning through the stock tires so I can upgrade them.

Came here to say exactly this. On the software note I pay $1200 a year to have a computer to hook up to most of my fleet. That’s only one engine manufacture. It’s a huge racket and it’s getting worse under the guise of emissions.

I’ll second the BRZ telepathy. I usually turn it off but it will almost keep you out of trouble no matter what. However, the power to weight ratio is significantly different between those two cars and the McLaren has much more capacity to get out of control.

You have a way with words. I would have never been able to express that on my own but I agree.

I’m on number 5 with one head gasket so far.

I think auto makers across the board should liven their color palates but I like my Pearl white BRZ a lot. It’s pollen season in Georgia so it’s matte yellow that may be enough to tick your box.

You have a way with words Dr Jones, I couldn’t have said that better myself. Personally I want to like it but it looks so boring and at the end of the day it’s still a VW and I’ve been there and it didn’t go well.

The cheap little engine that could.

My biggest issue with BMW is the interface with the transmission. The shifter did not need to be reinvented and marketed toward hipsters like an iPhone. Sure, I can get a hot 2 series with a manual but I’ll spend twice the money I did on my BRZ or more. I don’t have that kind of money and that’s my only other option.

I’m a manual kinda guy and I’m ok with the auto. It’s not a race car, it’s a touring car and that’s ok in my book. I couldn’t daily it but I do enjoy driving it even with the automatic.

Stop the bus. BRZ owner here that doesn’t vape either.

It’s like people have forgotten what it’s like to feel the road through your feet, seat and wheel and how exhilarating g-force and a little tire squeal are. I’m ashamed at consumers for letting the RX-8 go out of production and that the BRZ/86 will go that way too if we don’t get back to our driving roots soon. For

If you haven’t driven one it’s not as much of a bummer as you would think. It would have a lot more useable power with a manual but it’s not a sports car, it’s a touring car and I’m ok with that. Don’t get me wrong every other car I’ve ever bought for myself has been a manual but the SVX is a different kind of animal.

Without these gliders many small businesses would go under from maintenance costs associated with the intense emission regulations. So much is computer driven that even seasoned mechanics can’t properly work on and diagnose problems. This also leaves most 40 year old and up mechanics out of work because they can’t

That’s been my experience with Subaru with 13 year old vehicles. I just bought a BRZ last week and it’s supposed to be rather low maintenance as well. Makes Subaru number 4 for me. My SVX in the other hand is quite high maintenance now.

You can get the heated seat or the upgraded Ricaro racing seat which does not have heat.
