This makes me feel better about my CRX. I've got an 84 with only 40k miles. It's road ready but I can't sit in a car anymore due to a bad back.

What has happened to scruples and intelligence? Are there that many people that can’t see how just giving a car back is a bad idea? Last year I had to sell a car that I still had a loan on because of health reasons I couldn’t physically drive it anymore. I was 6k under water which is a lot of money for me and I also

Commercial vehicles are already in use with hydrogen. If nuclear energy had less political red tape the price of hydrogen would plummet as well. I say exploit all the cool things to their fullest potential and let everyone benefit from hydrogen, battery internal combustion and whatever is next.

Agreed. This is the ruin of so many companies. Accounting driven production doesn’t work and it’s been proven time and time again. You can engineer more efficient ways to do things to save money but you can’t just cut corners. Yes I’m looking at you GE and all your other shenanigans.

My mkx tips the scale around 4200 lbs and it is absolutely atrocious in any kind of turn above 10 mph. The understeer is unimaginable. I came from a BRZ and it was a very difficult transition. It makes me sad every morning I leave for work but it’s helped me to start walking again so I can’t complain.

I hate the 20's on my MKX and that proportion looks really good. I don't have to worry about winter tire setups where I am but I Will consider when the current rubber wears out changing the wheels too. I figured a lot of the choppyness? for lack of a better word was at least partially induced by the wheel size.

As someone who just traded their BRZ for a Lincoln due to crippling sciatica I approve of the comment.

I’m 33 and just bought a used MKX. It’s not the car I want to drive but due to severe sciatic and other issues it’s the car I can drive for 45 minutes to work without wishing for death anymore. With that said it’s not so bad and I’ve quit crying over having to sell my BRZ and drive an old persons car. These specs do ma

I have to say, I was impressed with the Mazda 6 on a recent test drive. The interior was nice even if it felt like it was trying too hard but the torque from that skyactive power plant was a pleasant surprise. I would probably have bought it if the seat was better suited for my sciatica. Alas, I fear a used MKZ is my

I am a chaser of that feeling you speak of. It’s why I love my wife’s 05 fxt and purchased my BRZ. Unfortunately my BRZ made a dormant problem turn into debilitating sciatica and other complications so now I’m on the hunt for that feeling in a bigger car (I know, anything is bigger) that won’t break break the bank but

I’m am on a similar quest myself to find something to replace my current crippling sciatica ravaging BRZ. I love the car but at 80 miles a day I really need to be able to walk and not want to amputate my leg. This does confirm my feelings about the GLI Jetta, it's really nice but the fully adjustable seat doesn't come

I agree, the WRX is surprisingly comfortable. I was torn between it and the BRZ. I bought the BRZ and within 6 months I had debilitating sciatic issues that took 8 months before I could walk anywhere close to normal. I was already having issues with the SI unknowingly before I bought the BRZ but it finished me off

Subaru did this with the WRX some years ago but it never caught on. I don't know if it actually came with steel wheels but they did market it as tuner ready with minimal/no options. It is a shame it didn't catch on.

I may have to look into this. I've been fighting some pretty bad hip and back problems and my physical therapist told me my almost hour commute on my BRZ is making things worse. As much of a I'll shift my own gears kind of person as I am, the transmission, seat and suspension are killing me. If they have gotten over

That option would have kept me from buying a BRZ last year. I like my BRZ a lot but I’ve developed moderate to severe nerve issues that make it difficult to get in and out of. If the CVT is responsive and the suspension is just stiff enough to feel sporty without my spine feeling like it’s being pounded into dust I

This article makes me miss my 96 Impreza. That was a wonderful car. I do not miss my 05 Impreza, it didn't have the same charm even though it wasn't a bad car. If I found another 96 model in good shape I'd consider selling my SVX for it.

My wife helped film a movie with scenes in that neighborhood over the summer. She said it was weird and the school packed with carts was crazy.

The average life expectancy goes up significantly if you reach age 40. Childhood illnesses and stupid youths skew the numbers.

Outside of a hail storm I don't have to worry about my windshield unfortunately. My SVX killed its second transmission and I'm afraid the wallet can't support a third.

I agree. When you operate equipment based on how the hair stands up on the back of your neck there is no way a computer can do it better. It's like an autonomous concrete mixer, it just won't work unless it's a perfect scenario and that's not the norm.
