Ooo, really excited for this Jason! Any hints on when we’ll be able to see it? :)

OK, that is BRILLIANT. Simple, clever and incredibly effective...

Damage to the suspension and half-shaft...any body damage or undercarriage damage? Can the car be repaired for another event?

Never had to try that one yet! :P

EXACTLY. They are getting fixed, but not truly fixed because they are being repaired by the same unupdated part that then fails again the same way.

I was replying to this comment:
Many people did get their transmissions fixed.”
Which says nothing about them still running. Also, many of them work when faulty, they just don’t work right, so they would technically still be ‘running’, just in no way, shape or form properly.

But the problem is the fixes so far didn’t solve the issue...I have a co-worker with a Focus with the problem transmission, she’s had it back to Ford to get fixed THREE times.

Needing the same problem fixed THREE times with only months apart is not ‘fixed’.

Amen brother! My starter died on a Saturday a few months ago in my 2009 Hyundai Accent...no garages open on the weekend. I did my side job all weekend with no starter gently bump-starting it by making sure I parked on slight inclines everywhere I went. By the time I was done, it was actually sortof an amusing game

A friend had a manual 2012 Focus until this year. The manual transmission Fiestas and Foci were perfectly fine as far as I know, just the automatic ones were bad.

Being in Eastern Canada today in the midst of a heat warning....
...uh....here near Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia, it’s actually really not that hot at all...?

Yup...I have a Logitech MX510 that looks cosmetically terrible from all the wear and tear I’ve put it through....but I bought it in 2004 and, despite the ugliness, it still works PERFECTLY. I have to take it apart to clean every once and awhile, but I still game with it and use it daily and it’s fine. They had quality

Looks in pretty good shape David! That rust doesn’t even look all that bad...I imagine if you sorted the rust and then got it undercoated, it would last you a good long time yet considering the mileage...?

Yeah, the reason the F-150 and RAM are beating the Silverado/Sierra twins is because the Silverado and Sierra look ugly as hell.

See, this is the kind of thing I want in an Electric car...something smaller, more basic, cheaper....if it can get near the range of a gasoline car of the same size and charging networks get sorted out, this would make me more of an electric believer...

Agreed, also this was a massive waste of taxpayer money.

Completely agreed....how those invisible things ever passed, I have no idea.

Don’t forget the Citroen DS also had it’s rear turn signal integrated into the rear pillar, albeit directly-rear facing!

Definitely the 2CV and DS, agreed!

The Citroen DS, and the classic FIAT 500!

Haha! Beam.NG! You can buy the separate game Automation, fully design your own cars in that and then export and drive them in realistic physics in Beam.NG! :)
