As a FIAT fan, I like the 124! :P

I have a 2009 Hyundai Accent hatchback and it has not gone wrong once in the 5 years I’ve owned it and 100,000kms other than maintenance items! :)

Nice post Jason! Love seeing updates on this little thing! :)

At least my FIAT 126p won’t have any gas struts of any kind when I eventually get around to importing it...

I knew you’d like it! Very neat little car! I also thought the interior had a very nice minimalistic but very useful feel to it. It may be a slab of a dash, but it still looks good!

“...that a 1-year-old cat-resident of Nova Scotia named Baloo had sneaked into a package containing tire rims and was subsequently shipped to Nova Scotia...”

If this happens, I hope Canada decides to conform to European safety ratings / etc and allow the sales of cars from there and the rest of the globe....just because the US is closing off the market doesn’t mean it (hopefully) will affect us...

Will a manual be offered as an option with both engines?

Yup, was in a hurry, so didn’t bother to dig into the Character Map to find the right character with the Umlaut. :)

You still see the Asuna-badged Sidekicks around up here every so often, but anything Asuna-badged is getting pretty rare these days.

I have an original Passport Brochure from the whole Passport/Asuna debacle - the weird part is that Asunas WERE sold as Isuzus BEFORE Asuna was created. GM Canada had a special dealership

I’ll take that Suzuki Wagon R RR in the background if it has a manual trans please and thanks! :)

Cool writeup though - I like the honesty of them as well!

Simple but intriguing problem! Were you able to order the part? If not, I imagine modeling up and 3D printing a similar replacement would be relatively simple?

I like the idea of Electric Cars, but call me back when I can get ~600km of range in 5 minutes with my current ICE.

They’ll get there though....the tech is improving, but it will be awhile before A. any electric cars are capable of that and, more importantly, B. a LONG while before there is an international network and

Right, sorry, I keep getting those mixed up....the LNA was the one related to the 104....

Amen friend, we share similar tastes! Can’t wait to hear more on the Visa! :D

Growing up I had a thing for 50's American cars, specifically 55/56/57 Chevys, but as I grew older and my tastes changed, my love switched to the mirror opposite....now my automotive preference is basic, small, cheap clever European or Japanese vehicles or vehicles from the Eastern Bloc...a far cry from American

With you on that one!

Not sure where you are, but here in Nova Scotia everybody pulls over to the right when driving at the first sound of a siren/sight of lights to make way for the emergency vehicle...?

Ha! That Ford Escort GT, I saw one in the same color and same spec in near-as-mint a shape as that one at the local McDonald’s here in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia a few months back - even took a pic because I knew how rare it was, especially here in the road-salt-murders-every-car land known as Canada!

Love the wheels on

Excellent article gents - thoroughly enjoyed reading all that! Reading a new article on how the new BMW M3 is great or some such is one thing, but articles like this are truly interesting because now I understand something new, and I also appreciate how much ingenuity engineers and designers have to have to create

Is it better than a Trabant?
