It’s not loony, really...the 126p is the same as the FIAT-Italy built 126s, just with a few upgrades like different interior trim, SLIGHT engine changes (the biggest was electronic ignition on the EL/ELX models [1994 and up]).

DO IT! My favorite car, and I intend on importing one in the next few years to Canada! Would love to see a Jason Drives or another one of you taking the wheel of one of these little fellas! :D
Meh. Unless EVs become as cheap as petrol, battery range issues get solved, and quick-charging networks get built. I really like the idea of EVs and wholeheartedly know they will be the future, but until those problems are CURRENTLY solved....?
Cool design, but (at least the concept anyway) looks like it’s trying a bit…
I live in semi-rural, Nova Scotia Canada and have seen ONE in my lifetime....so, they aren’t as common in a LOT of places.
What’s the difference between the G1WC and G1WCB?
Very much do a write up on this! :D A bunch of Opponauts should do a cheap car challenge someday! :D
David - maybe you should mention in your article that they have a GoFundMe page in case people want to donate a little something to help out...?
Donated $10 to their GoFundMe...we take cars for granted sometimes, but they are a desperate need for some folks.
Love the Cactus - wish they sold it here as I’d be perfectly happy with a base-model Cactus as a DD. Simple, efficient, stylish car! :)
How did you find it David?
Amazing article, very well written! This is how I am hoping to feel once I have a place to put it and a job that lets me import my Fiat 126. I’ve got little mechanical experience now, but hoping to learn that simple little car inside out! :)
Funny story, the 130 and many if it’s derivatives were sold in Canada brand-new for 7 years by a private importer! :D
Small, economical, utilitarian cars have always been FIAT’s forte....I love the classic Panda, and the van model is just icing on the cake! :)
Yay, this is my home province! :D
Still hoping to have one in my driveway in the next few years! :D
I don’t know Patrick, that cracked rear bumper at the bottom left is just going to murder it’s value...I mean, they’re not going to want to keep it when it’s in such rough shape, so I may as well take it off their hands...
Psyched for this because you have the same tastes for weird and quirky stuff that I do! :D
Hope we don’t have to wait long! :P
I am a guy who likes sub-50hp classic FIATs....where do I fit in all this? :P
Poor little guy....I wonder what ever happened to it. Here’s hoping it found a good one :)
You could always go for a classic 360cc Honda Life Touring! :D
Amen brother...precisely how I feel about my poverty-speec 2009 Hyundai Accent hatch.
