What is far more likely is that a program is running that copies your history into a server share and holds onto it for X amount of time. If you get fired due to whatever, and history gets brought up, then someone simply prints out the history. No need to look at it daily.

When I started with website design help, I became convinced that most of HTML had come from just viewing page source of the site that had something cool, and stealing the code. Somewhere there is a magic site, that holds the first html code, all of it.
