I’ll be honest, as someone’s who’s already pretty invested in the Sony first party ecosystem, I’m pretty wildly unimpressed.

So it just says not to play at all right? It says this is unfair and we’re sorry for shilling this for $60? It says here’s your money back put it towards a console that can run this natively? :v

yep. it’s these same people every single time. I just wanna buy the things from my childhood that I didn’t have enough money for as a kid but I don’t wanna have to take out a loan to buy it.

I’m being a little bit of a jerk with the picture...so I want to say I absolutely don’t doubt that the tool was made/greenlight in good faith, and I think that people doing their best to try and identify all the unknown biases they have is an admirable goal, but *goddamned* this is the most Silicon Valley-ass solution

I’ve got to admit, I’m less offended than I am just feeling a combination of disblief and hilarity. The idea someone actually deliberately designed this blows my mind.

Pretty much every decision he makes is about saving as many people as possible.

I think there’s an element of conspicuous consumption/Veblen Goods to this. If they were cheap, they’d have no perceived value.

I’m sure all of higher-ups realize how much of a scam it all is and are cashing out their ethereum payouts immediately.

You are so right about this! As long as this stays in the wealthy insane price range, then it is just humorous to read but doesn’t really apply me to at all. I’m not planning on investing millions in property in a scamming minecraft knockoff. But if land was like $5...

Oh yeah, I saw that guy in a previous thread who was trying to use the metaphor of how NFTs are a new kind of shovel to solve a new problem that old shovels can’t fix... and then ghosted when people asked him to explain what the new problem was that needed fixing.

It’s almost like in the context of video games and pop culture they have no positive influence at all. Weird huh :)

Can’t wait for the handful of crypto dorks to roll in here talking about how Kotaku never says anything nice about NFTs and no one understand their potential except for them and it’s all so unfair because how are they ever going to become fake crypto Pokémon pyramid scheme landlords if people know that it’s just a

It wasn’t Bungie’s reply, but it’s still amazing.

That’s fukin epic

Why isn't this screencapped? I want to frame it.

man, that answer basically vaporized the guy.

No mention of one of the top-tier replies in the comments of the twitter post?

Square Enix must have REALLY wanted out of the western game business, because $300 mil for those studios AND the IP is a fucking STEAL

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
