No it doesn’t, I’ve been driving here for 30 years and I’ve driven on ice and I can tell you that even in the first ~30 minutes of rain after several months without a drop you have way more traction on a rain-slicked California freeway than you do with a road with snow on it let alone ice.

I suspect the long wait times on the phone are mostly due to piss-poor communication on the part of VW. People are calling to find out what is going on because VW doesn’t tell people what’s going on unless you call.
