I use Sound Converter on Linux Mint (it's free) to put songs into AAC format. It works really well.

Half warm water and half Hydrogen Peroxide with a bulb or syringe irrigator works for me.If you don't have the H2O2, a mild saline will work. Mineral oil (like baby oil) or olive oil, applied with a cotton swab, will help to keep the ear canal from drying out too much (often making me want to itch badly).
Also, even number addresses are on the North & West sides of the street in most places of the country. I hope to go wandering around Saint Paul when they get the light rail extended this year, maybe go to a Wild game or two.
These are awesome! I like that several downloads let you pick your screen resolution as I use different wallies for home than on my net-book.
I found C Programming in Easy Steps by Mike McGrath to be really helpful. Checking out the book from the library and downloading the code examples, I was able to learn some of the basics and I have never learned how to code before.
I just bought one of these and I really like it. Good for opening bottles (I hate twist-offs) and getting underneath pull-tabs (short fingernails). It saves my skin from getting hacked, basically. Who wants a broken tool or a chipped tooth? Just a good-looking, clever little thing that makes life easier.
Cool! A lot of hacking involves ideas, attitudes, and behaviors that may not fit into the mainstream. Go for it!
Local honey is good only for allergy sufferers, as they can build up a little more immunity from the pollens in the honey.
Use the antibacterial if nothing else is available, e.g. porta-potties. These alchohol gels will not kill Clostridium difficile or Norovirus though.
I am trying to get Copy to work. TesorIt is not available for Linux. SpiderOak has been the easiest to install and use on Linux Mint so far.
After using quite a few backup services in the past, I found one so awesome I have to share it: SpiderOak. Free, good syncing, easy to install, cross-platform, and very secure. Click on the link and if you decide to install, we will both get an extra gig. Way cooler than dropbox, you can decide what folders you want…
Cool, thanks for all the information!
Here are the answers:
Cool GIF! My mother likes to correct me on this one a lot. Here is one for you: tomatoes. Botanists tell us it is a fruit, the government says it is a vegetable. I am going with the science-minded veiwpoint on this one, unless those guys are getting government money...
I don't know how brain-boosting it is, but it is certainly informative. This is a tech video podcast (hard to show people tech with audio) where the hosts keep us up to date on products, trends, and fun gadgets. Cali Lewis is so upbeat that it is hard to watch this and not feel just a bit more peppy. What a great show!
I like this podcast too! Somehow I forgot about it but will download some new episodes. History can be really fascinating.
Net-Book. I have it set up at home with all the peripherals. When I have to go anywhere, I just unplug and I'm off! I know that a lot of Lifehackers are into the smartphone thing, but for me—I like having the computing power and the five plus battery hours.
Okay, there was too much I just had to get out of my system for a post here. Head over to my blog and read: Why Try Linux?
I have used all three of these. Ubuntu has gone downhill very rapidly in my opinion. Puppy I have on an old flash drive for a backup/fun/learning tool. I will be eradicating Windows at the end of this month.
As someone that has been using Linux for more that eight years now, I can say that the hassle of maintaining Windows has been a lot more trouble than it is worth.
