This is a great observation. We saw it with the Black Panthers and how the men shoved the women aside, even though the early work and activism was by women - the script that BLM followed, as well, with the same outcome so far - black men taking the forefront. Same with Civil rights, with many of the men rightly…

Black women are always at the forefront of everything Black and take all of the beatings and then have to come to their homes and worry about Black men harming them as well. It’s a damn shame and us Black men can’t help elevate the Black community without elevating Black women and LGBT people.
