Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales held a presser this evening and released a statement apologizing for the unnecessary force used on Brown.

I guess like a lot of ‘protective measures’ in institutions, it’s much more about being seen to be doing something and having a policy in place just to say they have a policy, rather than actually using that policy to protect student welfare.

The thing that just floors me in this case is that the nurses who were there to do their job as chaperones and report improper behavior were told they were stupid and should just shut up. Multiple chaperones complained and they just ignored it. WTF! It’s their job.
