Racist opinions do not deserve to be heard. The idea that every opinion, no matter how awful, has equal validity is one of the worst things to happen to political discourse in this country.

He has a right to his opinion. And people are allowed to disagree with it, and with the paper’s choice to run it. We don’t have to give every opinion a platform, you know.
I have never seen any of these movies, but when I saw the headline I squealed out loud and had to look around to check no one heard me. I LOVE when you guys recap getting drunk and going to the movies. I had to be very careful not to snort or guffaw while reading, probably should have found and unused conference room.…
This reaction is everything we could have hoped for.
I’m enjoying reading this like it’s a circa 2005 LiveJournal blog post about a group of girlfriends going out to hate-watch The Worst Movie Night, Wine Required. So I’m torn between “why would you all do this to yourselves, I hope you got paid a bonus for risking your mental sanity” and “Can I come too, you guys seem…
For those unfamiliar with Delonas’s “work”, please Google Gawker’s prior coverage of him. You will find it simultaneously illuminating and nauseating.
1. She explains her reasons for continuing to work with Weinstein in the NYT article
this is awful. though i wish an actual reporter other than fucking Maureen Dowd had written this.
I had no idea about the Kill Bill stuff. Wow is all I can really say. That is a really shitty thing to do to an actor/actress and then to hold the footage over them with strings attached.
i think thurman’s account of what tarantino did to her is as shocking as the assault she experienced from weinstein. how terrible. tarantino should apologise to her publicly and privately, just for starters. i’m really appalled.
I’m just spitballing here but these are my guesses:
“(Weinstein responded to inquiries from the Times by claiming that he’d misinterpreted Thurman’s earlier behavior as flirtation, and providing the now-customary raft of photos of her allowing him to be near her in public, as though that proves anything.)“
I’m sick and tired of ignorant people asking victims of sexual harassment why they didn’t say something earlier. Many did but no one believed them. In most cases they’re asking them this question because they’re doubting their claims. Do you realize a person who’s experienced sexual harassment doesn’t have any place…
That video is terrifying and (to these untrained eyes) completely unnecessary and egregious.
Lotta weird fan boys and arm chair critics in here sticking up for QT who have obviously never been on set, or to an occupational health ans safety meeting
Go back to your bridge, troll.

I love how the AV Club gets to this story before fucking Jezebel.
“Mr. Weinstein acknowledges making a pass at Ms. Thurman in England after misreading her signals in Paris,”
More evidence of what we already knew: Weinstein is a monster in a badly fitting human suit and Tarantino is an asshat that cares about little but his vision.
