I totally agree with these points, and frequently participate in actions I can to support them. Whether that's signing petitions or trying to only shop places where I know they treat their employees well.

It's a start. If you have other ideas, I'm game.

It's pretty shitty. Let's all be honest. The retail situation in this country is abysmal.

No, I'm out. Thank goodness.

You're a manager.

We got paid time and a half. But it wasn't worth it.

I know a lot of people who work retail.

All of that sucks. And I hope you're doing better.

I'm certainly not full of self-pity. My life is awesome.

That's a little too close to the libertarian mindset for my comfort. And Yes. Someone is always suffering more than you. Always. And me. And probably everyone on this chat.

Yeah, they probably aren't the lax team (though there was one strange one. What does it mean for DNA to probably be a match, but not be a complete match?).

Oh my, you've gone to bed at 1 a.m. and woken up at 5 a.m.?

..You've clearly never worked black friday.

....yes. But your statements about 'just having thanksgiving dinner later' don't work when the day runs from 5 p.m. on Thursday until after midnight on Friday. And because they are 'two separate days' employees can technically be forced to work both.

Retail is a different beast.

Thanksgiving is also our only secular holiday based around family and friends. Christmas is a religious holiday, so not everyone celebrates it.

It's not a volunteer system.

Yeah. Unfortunately, it won't come from the workers.

So, here's the thing.

The way girls think girls look good and the way guys think girls look good are two different things.
