Okay. All of that was very difficult to read, but if you are ESL I want to commend you. I would not be able to be that articulate in a second language, kudos. (That is 100 percent devoid of sarcasm).

Apparently we're killing the journalism industry and shutting down the government. Who knew we had so much power?
And....? Not all girls are pretty.
Yeah, because when Sweet Dee's character acts like an asshole on It's Always Sunny everyone thinks it's misogyny.
Good to know if you're born with a certain bone structure you can't dress femininely. Her 'frame' is butch? You mean the bones she was born with?
but we're oppressing them by forcing them to have female characters in games.
Obviously I don't want poorly written characters. But that's assumed. I don't want poor writing in general.
Okay, but I think they do need to have women. And POC's.
That's true. But while the link between violence and video games is at best tenuous and honestly, ridiculous, we do know that people develop empathy by exploring the roles of others through storylines, like the ones in books, movies, and videogames. Not showing one group means we don't develop empathy for them. And…
Oh sure. This isn't a conversation about rights. If someone wants to make a videogame about neonazis killing all minorities...that's also their right.
Yeah, the fan pictures have gotten out of control. But largely beside the point. She's an attractive female side character. I liked her too. I think everyone did. I have no problem with her portrayal. I don't think anyone had any problems with Half Life (except the failure to make a sequel).
Are you sure you don't find it difficult to care about the role of women in games because you are not a woman?
I didn't major in gender studies ( I wanted to make money, sorry). But as a woman who likes to play games...
Sure, but HL2 is a plot focused game where you have to be Gordon. I'm not asking for male playable characters in Alice: Maddness Returns, because the plot NEEDS you to be one character who has a backstory.
If you're having female problems I feel bad for you, son...
Sure. Not all games need funny easter eggs, a great plot line, or a plus voice actors.
Kotaku has become a feminist cesspool?
Wouldn't that be lovely? I've given up hope of satire.
Sex isn't a reward we hand out buddy. It's something we do with people we love and care about.
