I did not write the article you're referring to. We are not a monolith.

Quite frankly I'm sorry that this impressive showing of peen is surrounded by really awful man-dresses.

you're very invested in my opinion.

So many of my friends are selling it right now and I want to smack them all. It makes you have hideous tarantula lashes but apparently that is cool with the kids these days? It's so, so, so bad.

I have thought long and hard about this piece. The author's story is powerful. I agree fully with everything the author says about the terrible damage we do to children by enforcing the gender binary, I agree with everything they say about how the kind of conventional masculinity that our society demands of men is

And who kneads a yeast infection? Not me.

I have mental illness, and if I hear "you need to go off all your meds for a month to cleanse your system" one more time, I am going to throw something.

Oh dear. That would mean I would have to read it too. Or at least bits of it. I agree with what you are saying, but wow. The things you don't think of when you sign up for this kid business. Hopefully that's all passé by the time my girls are old enough. Although I suppose there will be another one.

But that's just as bad. If your daughter reads Twilight, instead of just throwing it away, your job as a parent is to discuss it with your kid so they can understand that Edward is a passive aggressive abusive boyfriend and relationships like that are NOT okay.

I have said some fucked up shit and degraded myself with a partner to get off. The difference being here, that it's consensual. From what I understand, this is conversation about women who have voiced concerns about actual violence, sexual and otherwise. Trust, I get the whole "talk" thing, but that teeters

God is a fairy tale and those who believe in him are morons. Bear God, on the other hand, is totally really and if you don't believe in Her Ursine Glory, you're a disgusting heathen who will not get 72 Pic-a-nic Baskests in Bear Heaven.

I don't think that's true when we're talking about a celebrity. It we were just calling out randos on the street, that would most likely be profiling on their looks. In the case of celebrities, however, we know their ethnic and religious backgrounds.

And I feel that this type of comment amounts to silencing, pure and simple. This woman was likely suffering from a severe and possibly undiagnosed (or miss-diagnosed or under-diagnosed) mental illness and that's a very real, horrible issue that women all over the world deal with every day. Yes, I realize there is a

Yes. All of the above.
