You seem to be conflating “whole game” with “complete story”, and they’re not the same thing. Something can be a “whole game” and still be episodic. “Whole game” is subjective as hell anyway.

The PS5 is backwards compatible with PS4 games.

It doesn’t matter how long it is, it’s still episodic. Xenosaga and .hack were all full length games, but they were still episodes, because they were all part of a much bigger story.
