Or maybe poverty does suck because he spends all of his money on beer?

You could always just buy a small gas generator to keep at home (or bring along, if you want), just in case. It saves weight, cost, and complexity to not include them in vehicles. Plus you get more storage space. So, assuming you don’t actually need a generator often, it makes sense in a lot of ways to be…
Hey, the car is in Bellingham! Pretty sure I’ve seen this thing around. Certainly not your average Fiero. Still, $18k is a bit high despite all the tasteful and apparently well-implemented mods.
Probably somewhere on the order of parts cost ($2000) plus labor cost (50 hours * ~$100/hr), so ~$7000. Maybe less if the shop could do it in fewer hours.
Why is North Korea so set on challenging Washington? We never did anything to them! Why not Oregon or California?
After a surprising amount of digging, it seems you’re right, but it took much longer than it should have for me to find an article where someone actually knew what they were talking about enough to explain it well. My understanding, at least based on Valvoline’s website, was that through use of particular additives,…
Finally someone else who understands the oil viscosity rating system! Thank you for pointing this out. This is a central point to the entire argument.
Quit being a dick and do some research. See the section on “w” rating, direct from a manufacturer:
Nope.
Are you talking slowly let the clutch out, or dump it? Because if this is in the context of people learning how to drive stick, I would imagine most cars can be stalled by dumping the clutch at idle without giving it some gas. I’ve definitely seen it happen.
Also, my dad has a 76 Chevy pickup with a 350 and (I think) a…
Cool car, but man, that dash/stereo setup looks like garbage compared to Audis of comparable year.
That is true, kids are very impressionable. I certainly hope this doesn’t put them off to car culture forever. As I’m sure we’ve all seen, it only takes one idiot to ruin things for others.
Correct. It should not have happened. This driver is very obviously an idiot. Are you arguing against something I said?
You’re right, I don’t. And if I did, I think I would have found a different place to spectate from just in case something like this were to happen. Also, I’m not saying his reaction is rational. I just thought it was kinda funny that his efforts to protect his kids would have been entirely too late had the mustang…
I do think that it’s kinda funny in a morbid way that the guy with the kids is frantically trying to pick them up and move them away after everything has already happened. Like, that car is stopped, man.
Aren’t those the ignition coils? Granted, they do still sit on the spark plugs.
You sure that Audi 2.5L isn’t a 5-cylinder? I know they have one planned for the new RS3 LMS, and it looks like there are 5 coils on there...
I think you underestimate the number of engineers that sit around looking at Jalopnik all day.
Now, I haven’t watched his entire presentation or anything, so I may be missing something. That said, I was under the impression the the ship would more or less be used as living quarters for a while once on Mars, since I doubt the refuel and return would happen all that fast.
My guess would be that they have something to do with funneling air down the center as much as possible to improve rear wing performance. Probably similar in function to the side plates on big wings, although hard to say how functional the bumps actually are. I’m sure Honda tested it.
