I have a son with Down syndrome and I have very conflicted feelings about this. My son is amazing and he is perfect the way he is. I strongly believe in the right to choose, at the same time it breaks my heart that people see my son as a liability as someone who requires so much sacrifice. As a parent of two children,

False. Many babies are very weird looking and/or homely (I say as a person who loves babies, including homely ones). This baby, however, is adorable. His smile is the best.

Falcon Heavy can theoretically send a package of 12 Tesla Roadsters into space in one go. So I doubt the weight of the batteries was a consideration.

Weight’s not an issue here. They were trying to test the rocket’s ability to handle the stresses of a payload so no point cutting weight from the car. I believe the base had additional ballast in it to get up to a more standard payload weight.

Yes, and those complaints were all filed within days of each other after they “heard of each others experiences”. Crazy that they didn’t seem to consider these reportable offenses until then. The first complaint was related to “emotional abuse” from a former girlfriend and the fact that he had not explicitly asked for

They actually did. They found him “not responsible” which is the “not guilty” of campus rape proceedings. She lied, multiple times to both Columbia and the media and was never made to account for it.

She was found to have lied about numerous things related to her claim.

If you go through all the facts it looks like she took advantage of title 9 to throw someone under the bus so her matress performance art stunt and thesis would gain more attention. That’s pretty fucking terrible, and what’s far more terrible is it looks like she got away with it, I don’t support abusers regardless of

They advertised building a facility to employ US workers that will eventually make the high quality products in the US like they do now at their Illinois facility. Is making products in the US a problem now? Weathertech has been pushing the Made in USA thing for years. This isn’t new.

It’s not the Stig, of course—the Stig’s contract forbids him from going into space without written consent from the world’s seagull population, who have not budged on this issue. Rather, that figure, clad in a SpaceX space suit, is an instrumented dummy named ‘Starman.’

It was a turbo-prop derivation of the piston-driven Tu-85. And, the Tu-85 was a scaled up, modified version of the Tu-4, which was based on captured Boeing B-29s.

Regardless of single/dual prop, there is always a reduction gearbox used with a turboprop or turboshaft engine since the load (prop, rotor, generator etc.) will always need to run at a much lower rpm than the turbine. The only exception to this are turbofan bypass engines (even some of those have reduction gearboxes).

I was disappointed by this video. I was expecting an actual tear down and some actual analysis on the *engineering* and some comparisons.

As an actual Model 3 owner with a unit manufactured this month, I can say that my panel gaps look nothing like that, nor does my trunk take remarkable force to close, etc. Seems like they’ve got an early/shitty example, it happens, especially with Tesla.

And to think that thing was developed into the TU-114 passenger airliner. I’m hoping that thing had some sound deadening.

I always wonder about comments like this. I mean, if Tesla dies off suddenly it’s the fanboys who bought in to Tesla who lose money. And if by some chance Tesla makes it, it will be those very same fanboys money you can thank for it.

Here is an image that is ideally suited to slowly scrolling down the screen. Starting from his head, at first I was like “well, sure” but then came the finale...

Theory: Elon keeps getting back together with Amber to collect data to clone her into the Perfect Amber for Elon.

I live on 14 acres in northern New Mexico that backs up onto hundreds of thousands of acres of pure wilderness. I deal with bears, drifters, coyotes, all sorts of things. I’m often alone on my property. The closest police station is a forty minute drive away and has two officers. I’m a 5’2’’ woman and I’ll be damned
