These are called flagships, They bring prestige to the brand that a 40k car tech could not. This also probably has some premium margins to help finance the cheaper cars. These also are probably test beds for new expensive tech. There are a ton of reasons to produce hypercars for limited audiences.

You don’t have any questions....

“Tesla is my SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII—”

You mean the guy whose companies are sending private rockets to the ISS, have been selling the Model S (an amazing electric car) for several years, and are leading the way on autonomous driving development?

Digital renders , You did see the one driving around at the presentation ?

It has a 200kWh battery. The P100D has a 100kWh battery. Add to that the fact that the Roadster is probably built to be lighter (excluding batteries) and more aerodynamic, I can see how the range is almost doubled.

An autonomous vehicle, if designed properly, is fully aware of its surroundings at all times. When it backs up it knows exactly what space it has and what’s around

People really trying to go for this whole “Taylor Swift is a white supremicist” thing, huh.

Saw the video on the evening news. It certainly looked to me like he was flying pretty recklessly, and outside of the parameters suggested by Icon (300 ft above water/ground). I’m sure this plane is a lot of fun to fly, and the marketing of it certainly emphasizes the stunt flying, but that’s no reason to forget one’s

This game franchise has been out for 14 years and they just now got around to noticing and suing?! Something doesn’t smell right here.

Driver of truck thinks “ah, fuck it. They’ll make room for me” and crashes because they tried to intimidate a machine. Truckers need to learn how to drive, or they will be out of work a lot quicker than they think they will.

Where else can you wear sweatpants in public while eating pizza and drinking beer at 7am without anybody judging you?!?
