Morons like this make us law-abiding gun owners look bad... a gun is not a toy. Go to a proper shooting range if you want to shoot at stuff.

You sir, are a dumb ass.

Are you fucking serious? How is this the NRA’s fault?

I’m not sure. I don’t see how wearing a confederate flag t-shirt or a “Bong Hits 4 Jesus” banner creates a disturbance. But like I said, the courts have carved out a lot of permissible restrictions.

I watched the video and I have to say that, yes, the cops were being pretty rough, AND the woman was being unbelievably self absorbed (not respecting the time of the other passengers) and refused to leave on her own, even when she begged the police to allow her to leave on her own.

We live in a world were animals are allowed on planes, so if you have a SEVERE allergy the following would have probably been a more reasonable route:

Ok....so you believe the dogs should have been removed because this woman said so? She didn’t have a health certificate stating that she would be in danger being on a plane with dogs. And she herself clearly did not take the time to request a flight with no animals on it, which is something I would do if my allergies

I’m okay with this one. If I can’t claim allergy to screaming or stinking kids on flights, then I don’t think people should be allowed to claim pet allergies either. Pets are generally far better behaved, plus you can get antihistamines for those allergies. There is nothing that makes kids on planes tolerable.

This is just a trick of viewing angles. The speeds of the jets as they go overhead are identical, one is not catching the other and the jet behind would have to have an almost impossible acceleration to catch the one in front to cause a collision in the space of this video.

Once you reach a certain age, pitching a tent gets harder and harder.

If this is the chicken tax of the sea, would that make it the tuna tax?

If someone gave me a few million dollars for a start-up, I would literally be sleeping in the office and my service or product would be ready in record time.

They don’t mind them protesting, they just don’t like the way they are protesting. Wait a minute...

Surely you can admit that software failure rates are already waaaaay below human failure rates, even at this early stage of automation, right? Then the sleepy/distracted human still has an opportunity (however small) to prevent a physical crash if there’s a software crash.

So does my girlfriend.

The US didn’t have the capability to deal with an insurgency. It did have the capability to air- and sea-lift massive amounts of personnel and material half-a-world away. Doing so in PR, where no one is shooting at you, would be a trot in the park, relatively.

You’re describing virtually every invasion in history. It’s not like D-Day was a flawless operation. Nobody’s arguing in favor of the Iraq invasion (except Blair and Cheney), but as an invasion in the clinical sense, it was quick, direct, and effective. Everything around the invasion was a total shitshow. But the

Well, strictly speaking, the invasion went really well. It’s the occupation they fucked up royally by ignoring the people who had been studying the region and the generals who had wargamed the crap out of post-invasion scenarios. There were voices warning them and they not only ignored them, they vilified them.
