This makes me extremely uncomfortable. A few months ago we were talking about how dangerous it was for Trump to be questioning the legitimacy of our democratic process, and how it undermined our entire system of peaceful power transition.

Unfortunately, your viewpoints are not well-informed. I’d do some more research on how auto manufacturers bring products to market as well as some general research on the market in general. I’m unsure why profit is such a dirty word.

Quit being so dramatic and educate yourself of what the Cafe standard actually is and how it is not actually effective at reducing pollutants the way it is laid out.

Easy, the autopilot cars will follow the actual laws and drive in the proper lane, the slow lane. They will not have to pass each other, just the occasional slow poke. When they have to do that they will briefly use the fast lane, then get back into the slow lane.

And this touches on a greater issue... of how speed limits in many areas are stupidly and unrealistically low.

Adults don’t usually need to be disciplined to behave. If you want to take your ridiculously reductionist argument further, you could say that if the child who hits the parent were an adult, they would be in jail too. It’s not in any way the same situation.

And if you physically prevented an adult from leaving their house at 2 A.M., it would be kidnapping. And if you took away an adult’s possession as punishment because you didn’t like their attitude, it would be theft. On the other hand, if you refuse to give food, shelter, or medical care to an adult, you haven’t done…

I am not someone who thinks spanking makes any damn sense, but I certainly think there’s a difference between light open-hand spankings and child abuse.
