that takes time, and makes for a stuck column of tanks in the meantime. If there’s one thing tanks don’t like, it’s being stopped somewhere.

I sure hope not, because I don’t see it taking another 2 years of development to do some minor re-badging
Wait a minute here. If I’m depressed and hate my body because I have small boobs, and I try to kill myself, do I deserve a boob job? On top of that I shot and killed a father of three, whose children I’m sure are going through horrible trauma at the death of their father.
You have no idea if her need for surgery is life threatening or not. You’re talking outta your ass.
Oh, for god’s sake, can we knock it off with the hyperbole?
How do you think I feel? I’m just finding out through Deadspin that guys on Cal’s football team found out through Twitter that their coach was fired.
Hm. I am liberal and I fully support trans acceptance, but when someone is a convicted murderer (and not convicted in the sense of a kangaroo court) I gusss I don’t really have much empathy for their mental health. If she’s tried to kill herself, I can really only shrug my shoulders there. She willingly took another…
I read that as a list of “things that make it easier for your fellow-inmates to strangle you”. Really, wtf?
She IS a criminal. She’s a convicted murderer.
I wish Shiloh Quine had had some empathy for Shahid Ali Baig and his family.
I’m liberal as hell and am mad at this bullshit. Do the wrong things in life and get what you want, at the expense of our taxes, that’s the lesson here. I need my state to rewrite its prison policy so that unless it’s life threatening, prisoners don’t get any surgery. There are so many law abiding people looking for…
I have no problem with the medically necessary surgery being performed, but necklaces? I am kind of surprised that women are allowed to wear necklaces in prison at all. Can anyone shed any light on that kind of thing? How much jewelry are prisoners generally allowed, both male and female? I can understand a scarf to…
Man, the wheel really came off this enterprise...
Not if you never intend to turn a profit.
It was time to re-engine the B-52 fleet in 1970. Now I would practically term it an emergency.
It’s been discussed for a long time, but has never crossed the break-even threshold by enough to offset program risks. This is in spite of multiple administrations and proposals. I expect that it has always been about to be replaced, so no one wants to spend the money and then just park them.
That was a suggestion, some time back. Re-engining the B-52 with the F117 (PW engine, not plane) they use on the C-17.
They really should have re-engined the B-52 decades ago. Congress completely failed the Air Force and tax payer in failing to allocate that money, time and again.
Would depend on how loaded it was. Empty, it’s a lot lighter than a full 707 which can fly with 4 similar engines and would be expected to land with an engine out. If under load, they’d have to jettison weight with too many failures.
Not that I agree with the “Obama is weak on ISIS” rhetoric, but the amount of bombs we’re dropping is an absolutely garbage metric to measure it by without knowing who we’re dropping them on, when, what we’re stopping or disabling by doing it, and over what other alternatives.
