Nobody on The Slot is going to blame Debbie Wasserman Shultz and I think that’s crazy.

He definitely affected the race in a few key states. Clinton probably would have won Pennsylvania without him on the ballot and same with Florida. And there’s talk that Trump might have won Minnesota if Johnson wasn’t on the ballot.

Call me crazy, but acting as if the democrats had the right plan/strategy/candidate but just got screwed by forces out of their control is a terrible terrible strategy that might lead to a second repub term in 2020.

I think he did. If anything Johnson most likely helped make this closer for Hillary than it otherwise would’ve been. Trump won whether Gary Johnson existed or not.

It’s based on the assumption that any vote not for Hillary is a vote for Trump. Trump supporters used the same reasoning when the polls showed him losing.

Honest question, what makes you think those votes would have gone to Hillary? The few Johnson supporters I know probably would have gone Trump. But that’s a small sample size so I don’t know what the norm is.

I understand the anger, but finger pointing and blaming someone like Johnson isn’t going to change anything. We failed to win the rural vote in the Midwest and that has nothing to do with Johnson. We can learn a lot from this election, but fringe third party candidates aren’t going away. We will never know how Johnson

And you’re not being tribal right now? This was everyone’s fault except the candidate that failed to garner enough support?

Thank you for helping prove my point.

You think I’m a republican? This right here is the problem. I voted for Hillary (reluctantly).

How is that different than what’s going on now? Right here on this very post people are blaming everyone but Hillary Clinton for Hillary Clinton’s historic loss.

You realize the vast majority of libertarian are actually republicans who refused to vote for Trump right? Without Johnson, Hillary loses even worse.

Post mortem, I think we need to take stock of ourselves.

As long as people don’t go all anti-electoral college again...

I don’t know... Calling people deplorable is pretty mean too. I think this should be a wakeup call for big city Democrats to question how they’ve treated a huge death of people between the coasts.

You guys sound like the crazy people on fox news after Obama won.

I get the anger and the frustration but a secession is first of all, very illegal although I think there are states who retained the right to secede under special circumstances so I’m not sure if California is one of them. Secondly, this is just as bad as Texas who wanted to secede after Obama’s victories. It’s a

This is an example of the arrogance that is the real reason Hillary lost. “Your priorities aren’t the same as mine so you must be an idiot.”

This is purely reactionary. The markets do not like uncertainty and they were not expecting Trump. The market will rally and recover. The same happened with Brexit.
