Dallas. Baton Rouge.

I learned how to drive a 10 speed Hi-Lo truck hauling water from a pond to a worksite about a mile away. When I skipped a gear I would just try to coast it in the rest of the way to save face.

I drove a truck like this, with a hydraulically assisted hi-lo switch. Better yet wait until you get back into an automatic work truck and stomp the floor for the nonexistent clutch and knock over your drink trying to find the shifter.

Yep. I was told it’s better to “feel” when the gear is ready to shift from neutral than to try to use the clutch. Easier said than done.

You have to manually synchronize gears (to add to what Clay_T said).

So more like a tractor with A/B/C range and 1/2/3 gears in each range.

As a Louisianian, I can firmly say that any Texan politician is easily considered Southern. There are plenty of progressives in Texas, but they’re a small minority.

I really hope Putin plays it cool after the unfortunate scuffle today. I mean that as poor foreign policy. I have no problem with SAA losing anything.

I rarely disagree with you, but I genuinely believe Johnson flubbed Aleppo. Pertaining to “liberal”, I think the idea is that Hillary (as SOS) made many poor decisions, including Libya. I sure as hell will never vote for Trump, but why should I vote for Clinton?

Honestly, I could care less what the candidates wear. Trump wears gaudy ties waaaaay to long (which is ironic, his commercial tie collection is actually quite respectable). Hillary wears unusual/goofy pantsuits everywhere. If Gary Johnson wants to dress like Dr. Greg House, then fine by me.

This isn’t 1992. Bill Clinton was incredibly popular, and Bush was trying to take a second term that would have meant 4 straight terms of Republicans. Perot entered debate season with about 7-8% in the polls, and ended up with about 18.9% of the popular vote. He was also a Southerner, so he competed with Clinton for

The Founding Fathers created a system that made it incredibly difficult to gain the necessary Electoral College votes unless that candidate was particularly popular (as in Washington). They intended for most close elections to be decided by the House, which is of course the procedure lined out in the Constitution.

I’ll be damned if she isn’t pandering to the Anti-vaxxers.

Yep. I can’t discuss politics around my conservative dad because of this misconception.

You’re viewing Hillary as a democrat, not as a conservative. In al honesty, if you aren’t a fan of most of her positions, she’s not that attractive as a candidate. Your relatives prefer Johnson because he’s not a Clinton and he’s achieved bipartisan support and reforms as a Governor.

Your relatives are voting for who they think is most qualified. If they’re conservatives, better Johnson that Trump.

The camo pattern is Multicam. It’s a commercial pattern that was adopted/pirated by the US Army.

Looks like Multicam or some variation of it. It was originally issued to soldiers deploying to Afghanistan, and then the Army made a knockoff version to replace digital camo.

It looks like he’s riding along with the US Army.

Not unless it’s in dock undergoing refit. As far as I know there’s always a few guys on guard duty when in port during active service.
