According to South Carolina law, their delegates must support a candidate that is willing to support the eventual nominee. Donald Trump has openly stated that he would not do so. There’s an interesting case to be made that Trump should be denied all 50 of S. Carolina’s delegates and they should be free to support Cruz…
Yeah I’m pretty sure this guy was just trying to scheme the local government out of some free manufacturing equipment. GM did a total overhaul on the plant in Shreveport not long before they shut it down, and the Elio guy negotiated his lease so that he could just have all of the GM tooling. He promptly moved in and…
I think just about anything from here on out will be optionally manned.
By using thrust vectoring, the entire aircraft will very slightly pitch. To pitch with the elevators, they must move much more and create a larger RCS than when thrust vectoring is used.
Pitch, not yaw or roll.
I admit I did use it once while I was driving a tractor in 18th gear (as high as it goes). I was doing about 26 mph in an open field.
So surely you also find this offensive:
They don’t soil their pants, but that’s probably what Pravda reported. The Russian military is a potent and dangerous force, but it’s growing at unsustainable levels that can’t be supported by the struggling, one-dimensional Russian economy.
That’s not what several other regular FA commenters seem to think.
As I understand it, thrust vectoring is useful for stealth aircraft to allow for some maneuvering without adjusting the control surfaces (and increasing RCS).
Folding wings, offset nose gear is what I've been told.
In the future, sometimes it’s appropriate to not be “that guy”.
McCain has always been overbearing. But General Welsh was making contradictory claims, or at least doing a really bad job of explaining his position. A lot of what goes on in Senate hearings is bluster for the cameras.
And McCain knows this, which is why he is so frustrated.
Yeah I’m just nitpicking because I can about the pilot thing.
He was a naval aviator, not a pilot.
Care to explain?
Calling a downed pilot a coward is so stupid. Even more so when they spent that kind of time as a POW, and refused special treatment or early release.
It certainly has the ruggedness and high lift ratio needed for carrier operations. It could probably take off unaided, but that would require all other deck operations to cease.
