All of the other writers are leaving Jalopnik. You might as well one up them all and go out full send and full dead like a real man.

$9,000? Crackpipe. I could buy 18 Geronimos for that much money.
Can you find one that has been retired and do a #overland series with it since it’s a Defender? Add a lift, tires, trash bag thing, roof top tent and some geographical stickers strewn about. It’ll be epic.
Race Bannon! LOL!!!!!!! Made my damn morning.
Totally. I feel like the 80's were the “muscle car era” for off road bikes and quads. Things were ridiculous. It’s sort of like how super cars were during the 80's. The metrics are all better these days, but they were so ridiculous in the 80's. The CR500 is like a Porsche 930 Turbo on two wheels. It’s an explosive…
Ever since I was a kid I’ve wanted a Honda CR500. I love the ridiculous 2 strokes of the 80's, such as this and the Quadzilla. I know it’s complete overkill and has murderous tendencies, but it’s my all time favorite bike. I dig how nuts it is. It’s crude, excessive, obnoxious and dangerous. It’ll kill me. I want one.
The Esprit, in all iterations, is one of my all time favorite cars. I remember having a notebook with one on the cover as a kid. As air cooled 911 prices crest ever higher, these bump up a few notches on my attainable dream car list. You can get such a clean Esprit for what a ragged 911 will cost you. I dig the 4 pot;…
Star for Knobels reference.
Yes! That’s the plan for my ‘03 Silverado project. I’d like the build to be low key. So far I’ve got new tires for it and installed a work truck-style rubber floor inside.
Starred for 4th gen content. I have a ‘98 Z28.
Excellent read! I was excited to send this over to my wife, who has been struggling mentally and physically for awhile now. I did some digging on Kat Novoa and think she could be a positive influence for her. I appreciate you taking the time to write and share this article.
Wow you’re absolutely right.
I haven’t seen a comment section on an article with so many quotable one liners in a long time, if ever. That’s some damn poetry.
Good lord the comments on this are bringing the brilliance. So good.
LOL!!!!!! Damn that was good.
Word! I got unbelievably far in that game with an AE86 by having to block and run the competition into things in pretty much every race. Hey.. winning is winning.
Truth. Look closely at the Disco too. The aluminum body panels melted away and what’s left is the steel structure beneath.
I like the aged old platform, but this made me chuckle and click the star.
Out of curiosity, what camera and lens did you shoot this with? Shooting auto or manual?
This Ranchero would be a perfect rig for Wasteland Weekend
