They can actually rev up to 15,000 under the current regs but above ~12,000 there's not enough fuel to make it worthwhile due to the fuel flow limit and they rarely go above 10,500 where you can have the highest flow rate.

Hate to tell you this, but racing has been a product since at least the 60's.

My Jaaag was out-Jaloped by a minivan? WTF.

'87 Jaguar XJ-6 yields a 6-10%.

WEC runs at COTA ya know.

The one bullshit reason I've seen out forward is that if a 17 year old can drive these cars well, it's too easy which shows that it's not "The Pinnacle" of motorsports.

He came up through the Red Bull junior program so the money is kinda built in. The problem for these drivers is that they don't have money behind them because of that so if they stall on the way up the ladder or get dropped its next to impossible to get another F1 ride. That's why you see them popping up in Formula E,

Pretty sure the flares you're seeing is actually the sun glinting off of the canopy.

I think I'd probably knock a tire off the bead before getting as much roll as in the photo at the top of the article, but just imagine how the orange cones would contrast with this lovely shade of blue as they flew over the hood.

As a fellow 'Murican Jag lover I go with Jag-war E Type.

While those went under the model name of XJ6 they were different cars from the ground up and had the new AJ6 inline six motor instead of the XK6 that'd been in use since the late 50's.

It doesn't matter how high or low the nose of an open wheel car is 99% of the time when one of these cars goes upside down its due to tire on tire contact. That's what happened early in the year when Maldonado flipped Guitierez, and also Webbers launch a few years ago.

Why should you have to make a claim against your home insurance risking having a rate hike because of it when you can have the one at fault have to face that consequence.

I'm not familiar with Ottawa MI so I don't know what resources their PD has available to them, but if somebody crashed into your house and drove off wouldn't you want them to use every legal resource available to them to find the person who caused damage to your property?

I don't see what the objection is here. A police department is asking for help identifying the type of vehicle involved in a hit and run accident. I don't see how that's any different from a typical crime solvers tip line.

On track, yes. But they were still struggling financially the whole time that they've been Lotus and those who're running things now had nothing to do with the successful teams that operated out of the Enstone factory.

When I was stationed at Camp Le Juene 8th Marines were still located at Camp Geiger.

I've wondered what kind of looks I'd get if I showed up to an auto cross with my Jaglopy. A 1987 XJ6 which sat under a couple of pine trees for 9 years with no spark plugs and leaky door seals.

Financial sense aside, there is a certain cachet that comes with being the Lotus F1 team.

It's sad and funny all at once because apart from the bit about someone dying I see all of things on F1 forums.
