@fate47 - meh.: Akira isn't the character Efron would play. He'd play Kaneda, who is more or less the lead and from whose perspective a majority of the story takes place (he's the guy in the red on the bike you see up there). Akira is more of a presence in the story than an actual character. It's hard to explain,

@Smacksmackums: Wait, so a game's not considered out and available if it's only on 360? Interesting, I never knew.

@bustedchain: Eh, Challenger was more of a bang. Columbia started out strong but really just kind of fizzled out at the end...

@BAH!: 1826, my bad. And the wikipedia link doesn't work, but it's the second one down from the main wikipage:

@BAH!: Well the definition of "photograph" can actually vary a bit, but this one from 1827 is generally believed to be the first:

@dowingba: No, but the reasoning remains the same. They gave us a reskinned version of a game that had already been released in Japan without any affiliation to Mario, because the Japanese Mario 2 was deemed (you guessed it) too hard for the US audience.

Well looks like this might stave off the Extinction Level Event of player cancelations that was bound to happen with the trial period ending. People are still pissed though. I was going to cancel my subscription but I might just wait it out. The game has potential but the problems are so frustrating that they

@thecast: NOBLE team is the name of the squad that you're a part of in the campaign.

Now playing

MJF also apparently will be in the new season of Curb Your Enthusiasm! The trailer has a joke so good that you'd almost feel bad for laughing at it if Fox hadn't given the go-ahead.

@Asraiil: Missed that in the news huh? I see what you did there...

@sapph42: I didn't mean it in any way as disrespect to DoD, and DoD has an important and vital role in US policy. Their influence and budget clearly will still remain the undisputed behemoth that it always has been for decades to come, and nothing is really going to change that. Plus, to think of DHS taking

@Martian Yeti: I work for a government contractor for DHS (which for all intents and purposes is essentially the 21st century DoD) and trust me it's not as exciting as you'd think it is. I'm not in the IT department but we have to work closely with them for a lot of our programs. Usually the IT guys just have to

@Gameslaya: I never played RF: G so I can't really speak to that. But if you're not really an open world fan than I think that's all you need to save your money and not get this. The story is mediocre at best. Most of the entertainment comes from just roaming the MASSIVE world (I had to place emphasis there because

I actually work for a contractor with DHS on this kind of stuff, and the fact that this can be freeze-dried and stockpiled for use is probably the most amazing thing about the vaccine. The US has a huge stockpile of vaccines to cover most civilians in the event of a bioterrorism incident, however the vaccines all

@Gameslaya: Eeeehhhhh. If you REALLY like open world games, then sure. The gameworld is absolutely huge, and would take forever to explore the whole thing. Plus there's a lot of opportunities to just blow shit up. But it gets old really, really fast.

Usually, just getting out of the city and into a rural area isn't enough. I live on the east coast (DC), and you can't see anything here really. I used to do a lot of camping out in middle-of-nowhere Pennsylvania and West VA, and the sky looked pretty awesome out there. I thought that was the best it got. However,

@jiamenguk: True. That's more or less a Square trademark for trailer presentation though. I do agree the fighting looked kind of empty. This was probably (or hopefully, rather) an early build of the game, as there isn't even a HUD present. I hope that doesn't mean that the game is farther off than we originally

@Thidrekr: Here's my take on FFXIII. I do think the hate was blown entirely out of proportion. I think the explosion of vehemence that occurred after the game's release was more the result of peoples' pre-set expectations not mixing well with the reality.

@jiamenguk: Kind of unfair to compare XIV and vXIII since they're completely different games in more or less different genres made by completely different development teams.
