@ringer81: Normally, I'm pretty good at deciding which particular owls are my boys or not. But this is a classic case where I really can't tell if that owl is my boy or not.

@MISS MERCY STREET: Thanks for providing a trailer for my nightmares tonight.
Is that subtitle even necessary? No shit it's a game. Is this some kind of unintentional commentary on the perceived intelligence of the intended market? Or just Activision being complete idiots?
Not sure if this was mentioned yet, but this is one part in a pretty good article from the Atlantic written on scam-baiting. Fairly well written and explores the practice at all angles.
@General Chase: Baby Slayer: Is there nothing the game can do to redeem itself?
@dsandy333: Everything that you just described is an absolute fucking nightmare.
@Devil_Dan: This was answered in one of the comments below. He has said that he's worked it out and he'll have just enough room to complete the thing.
@Raven19: Oh I completely agree. I said this in another post in this topic, but I honestly think SE considers the PS3 release in March "primetime," and is using the PC release as an extended beta test. There's just so many things lacking or broken right now, which is a shame because the few elements that DO work are…
@Raven19: No I totally agree. I'm playing the game and I'll keep playing it because I see the potential, but the UI is an absolute travesty. I'm going Gladiator (tank class), and it's pretty much impossible to switch targets in the middle of a fight, even with a controller. I get that SE designed this game with the…
So I've been playing this past week (physical level 15, gladiator 11, and a few crafting classes in the low single digits) and there's one element that wasn't mentioned here that I feel should be brought up: the lack of an auction house or some kind of centralized, searchable market.
@ryoshi: A controller is absolutely key. Honestly, playing with keyboard/mouse is another headache you don't need.
@breadofwonder: Yeah I gotta agree with Majoraskull here, Mark Meer does a great job as male Shepard. Was it the slight Canadian twang in his voice that threw you off?
@Alvarez: Are you talking about the original ME or ME2? While I love both to death (and I'm one of the few with the balls to say I think it's a better achievement narratively than KOTOR...yeah I said it), I can understand your complaint if it's leveled at the first ME. But the characters in ME2 are MUCH more…
Just an observation, but man you GT fans are an impossible crowd to please.
@Too.Tired.To.Sleep: Because a crater isn't formed by the outline of the object hitting the ground, but the waves of energy that the impact creates. Those waves will result in a circular crater, regardless of the shape of the object making impact. To test this, go to a pond or lake and throw an oblong rock in. …
@StealthMaster86: Thumbs up dude. I love Road to Perdition.
I love DARPA. I work with people who worked there on contracts, and it's literally a bunch of people coming up with crazy ideas and then DoD giving them almost endless money to try it out. Most of the time those ideas fail, but when they work it's absolutely crazy.
@vnunes: Eh, BioShock 2 wasn't necessarily a bad game, it just didn't do it for me. Something was missing. It was like watching a pretty good 80s cover band; yeah they're still good but they're missing the magic of the original.
This seems like what BioShock 2 should have been: a creative departure living up to the inventiveness of the original, and not a cheap do-over. I like!
All of the post WWII ones were in remote locations (Nevada desert, middle of Russia, the Pacific, etc), but what were those few in what appears to be Louisiana? It's too far south to be Oak Ridge, TN (and I don't think they did any testing there anyway), and it more than likely had to be an underground test...anyone…
