That's exactly what I read into it, it was kind of a, look she's so cold she couldn't even be pothered to push moment.

Honestly I've forgotten which episode it was but there was a scene where she had to talk to the police and it seemed like they were after more than just getting to the bottom of what had happened. I got the distinct impression they may already be on to her…

Okay, missed that one… I was under the impression that Straczynski was the driving force behind some characters and the Wachowski's wrote other characters. I don't necessarily see a trans person being written from the point of view/experiences of a trans person as being a bad thing though…

Okay, slightly grey area…I'm sure she had some input at some point, but relating to the character is not the same as writing/developing it.

Fair point, though she is the only one to have been portrayed as overtly unlikable. Sun and Cepheus are clearly close with their mothers, where as the others have all just been absent for one reason or another so I guess could have been just as bad. I didn't get the impression that was the case though…

Given this whole conversation follows from a post with a spoiler warning I had assumed that it would be fairly obvious that the replies might contain spoilers… You may have a point about Will and Riley being the only two likely to have been born via C though, not sure how things are done in Korea/Mexico, but I really

I just hope she let the guy know she was putting money in his case, living in London I can just imagine the all local hoodlums walking past and nicking it.

Exactly, they all went to the trouble of giving birth to their children naturally except for the evil one who took the "easy", "lazy", "uncaring" option of having the baby cut out of her. I may have read to much into it, but it totally read as c-section shaming to me…

I think it was the very fact that it was only Nomi's mother shown giving birth via one is what made it read as c-section shaming. C-sections are quite common in both Europe and the USA, but the only on of them who was born via one was the one with the evil uncaring mother who tried to have her lobotomized.

My daughter was two weeks overdue and quite large while the wife was having her first baby at 40 so the whole thing was a bit touch and go by the end. (Not helped by the fact it was new years eve and they only had one consultant on call who was stuck with another patient, but that's another story)

You might be right, but I read it the same way as Itwasreallyfar, they all had this flashback to what was shown as a wonderful bonding experience despite the circumstances surrounding/leading up to it. Apart from Nomi whose "evil" uncaring mother had the baby cut out of her under a general anesthetic while Nomi sat

Patience is the key, Kala will come into her own just you wait…

WARNING MY REPLIES IN THIS CONVERSATION MAY CONTAIN MILD SPOILERS

Nomi isn't a character that Lana Wachowski is responsible for creating/writing…

You're right, she does appear younger but 8 years may be a stretch. On reflection it could have just been the fact they cut to her at the end of the segment. I was initially thinking it would be a coincidence too far but it would kind of make sense for her to have been immediately attracted to Nomi because she somehow

The doctor isn't working for the hospital and I don't think the people he works for are all that bothered about due process.

Wasn't their birthday on the 8th?

A lot of the review was focused on Amanita, but Rowan was questioning the universality of the song amongst the non-English speaking characters. When Kala's friend walked in on her singing she recognized that she was singing in English, but the line I was quoting seems to indicate that she didn't recognize as anything

I haven't watched it, but I hear that the first episode is the weakest and it picks up significantly from that point on.

"What's up…you were dancing and singing in English?"
