I remember as well. Every truly interesting car I ever saw growing up in the 1970s was an import. Datsuns, Toyotas, Hondas and VWs.

A friend of mine had the 1986 Civic tall wagon. My god that thing was a beast.

A friend of mine at work had Jeep Rubicon. His was actually reliable but it ate tires and brakes plus the gas mileage was awful. He’s had an extended cab F250 for about 4-5 years; I believe it gets better gas mileage.

That is one smart looking car! Really, it is.

I had an 1988 Escort with Ford’s version of this color.
