I have no interest in playing Overwatch (and, to be fair, I lack the ability to), but I’ve enjoyed the hell out of the short films they’ve released as the game has gone along. So I’d watch a webshow/TV show of it in a heartbeat.

When a company claims to be all inclusive then yes, they need to check those “arbitrary lists” to ensure that claim is legit. I guess a hamster makes a game balanced though. Or a gunslinger for that matter, who could have been a Black woman because her background didn’t require her to be any race for that matter. But…

I think that when people complain about the “right kind of black” it has less to do with color of skin and more about shared culture, history, and experience, in general. I have never been familiar with her work (“Single Ladies” is probably the only thing I’ve heard, and it was likely in passing) but god damn what piece of work.
