Thank goodness.

Unf. In 1999 I graduated high school, so all my friends at the time were all about Brendan Fraser. I, on the other hand, only had eyes for Oded Fehr. Such a beautiful man.

I still resent Marvel for not casting Fehr as Doctor Strange.

Oh shit. He would have been perfect.

I didn’t know I wanted that until you said it and now I am FURIOUS IT DIDN’T HAPPEN

This was one of the few movies my mom, sister, and I could agree on in terms of male eye-candy. I was there for Oded Fehr, Mom liked Brendan Fraiser, and my sister loved Arnold Vosloo. No matter what scene it was, one of us could sigh happily.

I love Oded Fehr in anything, but that movie in particular gave me a fetish for facial tattoos. See also, Mads:

This. All of this, please.

I still resent Marvel for not casting Fehr as Doctor Strange.

I would also watch the fuck out of that.

I liked it too, although Cruise singlehandedly wrecked it.

Much like his shoes, his films are a platform for him and him alone.

Well, too bad we’ll never have another classic horror film, nor will Kurtzman get another directing gig for years. Look at what happens when men get involved with, and helm projects like this. They just set all men and men’s movies back. *sarcasm*

I have an unshakeable feeling the movie that unites all the monsters will turn out to be a Spectrum cable tv ad.

Those are some really tall orders for Hollywood studio executives. While I think your approach would have been better for these old titles and relaunch an interesting and creative franchise... unless it involves pointless spectacle, simple to understand storylines, black and white good versus evil, and low demands on

Your list captures the films/shows he was more directly involved with I think. Those projects also have strong roles and writing from females and PoC whereas Departed was not that at all (The idea of another A list white actor in Departed is as appealing as putting powdered sugar in soda.).

That’s how God intended it.

The best part of the Vanity Fair article is the tie-in banner ad

I wonder what organization he is strongly affiliated with that worships him and likely makes him believe he can do no wrong? Can’t put my finger on it.....
