sure not a career year, but he was cooked last season, he signed to be a veteran presence bench player and he turns in a pretty good season with record home run high for him, sure Voit was great in small sample size last season but his career before that including the minors, he was never more than a bench player.…

I said the same about last years Red Sox team, i couldn’t understand how they were winning so many games or how they won it all, though the one thing i found is that they had amazing defense which really came through in the post season and changed momentum on many occasions.

Gardner was straight up washed last year. He hit 12 hrs and batted for a .235 avg...oh and hes 36. Anybody tells you they expected  25 hrs and .250 avg this season they are lying to you...

throughout the 90s they had maybe  a handful of players that had surprise season...they have  had a handful of players have monster season just this year!  its crazy

This so much this. The Yankees ownership were very cheap and did everything wrong this offseason...but yet they were rewarded with Monster years from DJ LeMahieu, Volt, Gio Urshela, Gardner...Good years from Cameron Maybin, Mike Tauchman... German who was Trash last year has 18 wins this year...
