i may be wrong but Nintendo basicaly just replaced thier 3ds success with the Switch...so sure the Switch is selling at an ok pace but its doing so that the expense of thier 3ds. so basically the killed thier main console and just massively upgraded thier portable one,,,they just didn’t tell anybody...
