Yes. BUT what all you defenders of this movie fail to realize is that this IS one of those old time fairy tales, it was created in the 70s-80s when our heroes were larger than life and went against all odds and always prevailed...
and then refuses to turn to the darkside and continues to the very end to try and save his father...how convenient of you to forget that part...
how about not quit? this is a Saga that started in the 70s and 80s where our heroes never quit and would prevail, there is no reason to change that in the penultimate episode of a 9 part saga.
