I just say, “alexa, turn on the tv”, and my home theater setup turns everything on to the TV. I can also say, “alexa, turn on netflix” and it’ll boot everything up into the netflix app on my tv.

I wonder if people are buying them up and keeping them in warehouses, just waiting for the 25 year restrictions to expire. Their prices will skyrocket once we can pull them into the US.

I get all my glassware from bar trivia and gift boxes at the liquor store. I have a set of these that came with a bottle of knob creek. I like them a lot, but I’ll continue to get my glasses for free.

Also very lucky that he wasn’t hit. Did you see the video from a few weeks ago where something similar happened and one car took out the other and sent them both into the wall?

Ah. Good. The letter from BMW NA made it sound like there was on button to turn off all systems. “The Driver Aids Button also shuts down all the other driver aids that the car may be equipped with”

Sill not great that they reset. It’s VERY easy to forget what needs to be turned on and off each time you go on track.

What concerned me, is that this the way they say to turn it off, sounds like it will disable ALL drivers aids. Does that disable stability control too?

Another option is to gather some friends and go run in Lemons or ChumpCar/etc. LOTS more track time for the $. You could also arrive +drive.

This is the way to go. Car will handle well, and when you get SMOKED by everyone else at the track, you can blame it on having an old slow Boxter.

Nice! This already works in other office apps, so it’s nice to see it’s coming to Excel.

eh, i’m not sure about that. I saw a lot of daylight through the filter before i cleaned and oiled it. I wouldn’t recommend using a K&N in a dusty environment.

I’m sure it was dirty enough 30k miles ago, I was just lazy. I doubt it was filtering out all that much.

I just cleaned and oiled mine for the first time. It has 50k miles on it and never had a MAF issue.

I think when BMW started covering oil changes warranty, they decided to put some effort into designing it to be easy.

Yup, that’s the new bmw style. been around since at least the e36's.
The e46 added a 36mm “Nut”, so you could open it easier. Looks like they went backwards on the newer cars. Those things are not easy to un-screw.

I have experience with the “bitch clip” on a ‘89 m635csi. Can confirm, it’s a pain to get at. The rest of the car is relatively easy though, especially after you remove all the “Don’t need this for racing” parts.

hard to work on? Probably anything on a Cayman/Boxter engine.

These little victories are absolute triumphs for a lowly shade tree mechanic like me.

It’s gotten to the point where I like the ‘break for product placement to pay the bills’ part of these shows. At least with that, I know that this is a low budget show about cars, not a reality show starring guys and cars. All Girls Garage is a good show too.

That video was from his personal youtube account. SUBSCRIBE!

There was a recent episode where he tuned dual carbs. I had always thought, screw carbs, so complicated! Then I saw him do it and explain it. It made sense and I feel like I could tune a carb if needed. Every other car show would just pull one out of the box, slap it on and call it done.
