Most of that 1 trillion dollars went to pay Americans to work, keeping them off food stamps. Think of this as a jobs program instead of a handout. (granted though, these are highly skilled, well paying jobs. HS dropouts need not apply) There is surely plenty of waste, but it’s not like we just burned the money.

Funny thing, I had one of those engines(pulled from an e24) that I considered putting into my e24 race car. Our team decided that we didn’t have the skills/time to deal with a turbo motor in a race car, so we sold it. We later upgraded to the M30B35 motor.

Same. But guess what! It works the same way when you get divorced. ;)

Not sure how filing jointly or separately changes much, you’re still married and the same tax brackets apply.

Yeah, I really like the Vive, and I have the space to set it up with room to walk around, but I’m concerned that it will just be a gimmick that nothing gets developed for. It’s interesting to hear your point about the ease of development. I can’t find any games I want to play that have Vive support yet.

It would be interesting to see the break down between dev kits bought by companies to build games, vs dev kits bought by people to play games. I can’t imagine there’s more than 25-30k developers though.
The first generation will be bought by 20-35 yr old guys with disposable income and a desktop PC. How many nvidia

I have seen numbers that suggest they have sold more than 175,000 Dev kits for the Rift. I don’t think that 250k Rift/Vive’s sold this year is an unreasonable number.

A B-2 flew over my college graduation in 2003. It was low, but not that low. Still impressive as shit and totally unexpected.

“We never drove the Camaro on its ragged limit”

This is like 1 car payment, bro. Some people make money, they’ll buy it. There are plenty of people buying $600 video cards, they’ll buy it. First generation is always expensive. There is no way that this will be in every house, ever. They’ll sell enough to stay in the market and in 5 years little Bobby will be

honestly I don’t play video games at all,and I only one an xbox 360 so I can play an occasional DVD.

The cost doesn’t matter as much as the hardware to drive it. How many people have a desktop with a powerful graphics card? Or even just a desktop? It won’t go mainstream until laptops exist that can power it.

Even if the controllers are $50, the Vive still has a lot more features - full room tracking, camera, mic.

About what? Kicking Rift’s ass? We knew it was going to cost more, it’s a lot more impressive. $800 is a lot of money, but if the Rift is going to cost $600, $800 for the Vive is a steal.

Yup. I think it’s awesome, and it will make H st look like a cooler/better neighborhood. Might also get the white kids using it who won’t get on the bus.

I’m already planning a bar crawl for opening day!

I bet it’s an announcement for a chewbacca spinoff movie in 2018/2019

Agreed. the R107 is at the end of that era of Mercedes car design, as well as the end of that technology. The R129 is a much more modern car.

Yes, it does. I’ve tightened mine up a bit too, but it’s still got a lot of play. I may attempted to replace the steering coupler next.
