Haha, I’m wearing those exact shoes right now. I see you also shop at DSW.

Should have used GT-R powered, Dual Control Infiniti Q50

If you have the right sized screw, you can do that. On the toyota I worked on, the bolt that holds the caliper on can also be used to pop the rotor off. Problem is, in that case, you have to get the screw out first. The hole is useful. The screw that goes in it is a nightmare.

Steering wheel controls for the radio, on the right side of the steering wheel.

I recently built a badass PC, but haven’t gotten a video card yet(onboard video works fine for me so far)

Maybe he should have jumped out of the way, rather than throw bullets at it. Cars don’t magically stop if you shoot at them.

No. Even at the track, they still have to pump the gas for you. They will also only pump into red containers. You can then dump that gas into a white container right in front of them, and it’s OK. Stupid Jersey.

my swap was for a race car(chump, lemons,AER). Putting in some fancy euro spec motor or the M6 motor would have been very expensive, and would have moved us from ‘slightly cheaty’ to ‘hella cheaty’.

Hm. I did the swap last winter on an e24, but I did use an e24 M30B35 as the replacement. I used a wiring harness adapter, and it was fairly simple. I’m still not sure how I managed to blow up 2 ECU’s though. That was a pain.

I’m glad mine hasn’t blown up yet, but I have a spare just in case. I think it’s fairly common for people to swap back to a normal brake booster. Did BMW use it as a marketing tool? “Now with Nitrogen Ball Technology!!” I think brake bomb sounds cooler though.

No way. That brake problem is no joke on there, it’s not a simple brake booster, it’s a crazy power steering pump driven thing. If you do an engine swap, why not get the better M30B35 motor? And, why would it need an engine swap in the first place, M30’s are bulletproof.

What about the AER race - Jalopnik vs. Road&Track

Mercedes Benz 380SL, you should be able to pick up a few for under 10k

$150 in tools, e46fanatics.com, and youtube will save you thousands in repair costs. 90% of the stuff that breaks on bmw’s is fairly easy to fix and doesn’t even require a jack. (except the starter, that was a pain in the ass)

Mine just ran over 100k. I like to think of it as reliable, and then i remember that I’ve replaced the alternator, starter, cooling system, and differential. There are more things that are on borrowed time. Still love it though.

True. Just finding a manual bmw is tricky. The dealer near me has 275+ cars on the lot, and 3 are manual. Zero manual M’s.

This is an american car though. They should do it for for Americans. Screw England and japan.

Summit Point has major animal problems. I was there 2 weeks ago and someone hit a beaver on track. The track workers cleared the beaver without even putting up a yellow flag! I also saw multiple deer in the woods inside the track. Luckily, they stayed put during the race.
