I’ve been privileged enough to drive most of the pro road courses in the US, and even spent a year working at VIR and enjoying that legend.

80% of the population lives in metro/urban areas around cities. So yes, most of the country. We’re not talking about implementing this for the other 20%.

I will say that both myself and a lot of people holding these views tend to just assume it’s obvious we’re not talking about rural areas instead of actually stating that, yes. I will give you that.

“Most if not all manufacturers may have a model or two that use them” is absolutely common and mainstream. It doesn’t haven to be something that’s in every single vehicle to be mainstream.
