You know expectations are a funny thing. In 1984 a VW GTI was 2050 pounds and was 9 seconds 0 to 60 and was rated as fun to drive, and only a second or so from Corvette times. So 2385 pounds and 106 HP are embarrassing in 2019? I guess expectations are a funny thing......

I agree and give you a +1 idea. The white collar field that I predict will be decimated is folks who sit at a computer, especially those that use a telephone. If Watson can play Jeopardy and successfully understand and answer questions. It’s a piece of cake for them to replace the person you call to

If the rule made it illegal for the QB to try to break a tackle or to attempt a pass after contact maybe then Mathews should catch and release. Otherwise the defensive player needs to be allowed to prevent the QB from passing or running after contact with the bounds of not hitting the knees or head.....

Vegas in 2011 was a bummer if I remember correctly. One strike against ovals. We can have a second strike if we think about California speedway season ender a couple years earlier. Finally, how about Pocono. Oval races are cool but I am not sure that they are better.

What killed him was that the CG of this cart is probably in within inches of the front axle. Hence no weight on the rear tires. It would be like driving a Porsche 911 backwards. I bet it had all the directional stability of a claw hammer.

I think we are in agreement. The reason modern cars have such high HP such as the mustang is because they breath so well at top end. That improved breathing I believe would have negligible benefit and perhaps be a penalty to MPG when you consider the energy needed to actuate 32 valves vs 16.
