The web is an amazing place, I found who built it an about 3 minutes.

Who knows, they probably did have a spotter. The transmission went something like

agreed. I can't explain it. I crewed there for a WC race 3 or so years ago and nothing like that was allowed, in fact it was a full sprint back to our pit because that's where you had to be for the start.

By the way, I re-looked and he passed two waving yellows on the way to the incident. Not noticing the yellows certainly can be criticized.

Speaking of start wrecks, this was one. Can't find the one I am think of though.

By the way, something that does deserve a comment was did you notice that how many people were on the wall where the wreck happened. Having worked as crew for my buddy at St Pete, they everybody off the wall and in the pits before the start. I am not sure what was going on this year.

I am no pro, but I have been doing rental rides in TC since '09. I do know that at WC launch they are full thottle, flat to the floor and stuff happens very fast. In a blink of an eye you are doing 70, and you don't have any clue what the guys behind you are doing. The last thing you want to do is check up and let

I am somebody who actually has done PWC standing starts and I don't think the facts are so clear about what happened at the start for anybody on this forum to slander the Lambo driver.

I don't think that's true. I recall it was that the aux generator had been removed for building, and when set back in place they forgot to bolt it down. It was running and bounced off its base, tearing out the fuel line and causing the fire. Sad human mistake, not a jury rig.

The whine is the tire studs hitting the (now pushed in) fender. I've done that......

I don't think I would cut that cage out. 1) It a ppears to be a bolt in cage. 2) Sooner or later, that car will be worth something do its heritage as a racing Porsche. Why wreck the heritage?

Wright Patterson, Dayton - Great place to visit in march while school is still on. Empty! Take your Dad

I was one of the complainers, glad they listened, here's my correspondance with VW

I've had two failures, one where I wore out a new set of pads in a 30 minute race. In that, the caliper blew out. The other was a master cylinder that failed without warning. What I have learned is if you are out of brakes the best plan is to go straight. The front is the strongest part of the car, use it. Its easier

Does it look like the plane is only about 3000 feet? Makes for great pictures but I wonder if they would actually do any missions from that altitude.

Guess you haven't owned one. If you had, you wouldn't say that. I drove one five years in wisconsin winters. No complaints here, Alfa's of that generation were simple reliable cars. That's a fact.

Credit the driver, sure. But also its 1/3 Hp (250?+) and 2/3 rain tires explains why he also was beating the fwd focus and integra.

Hmm I wonder how the generators (diesel) kept working on their side? What kind of oil pans?

Simply what I said. Guys that want to do racing for a living need to accept the ideathat they will live at the shop, devote all their time and money to race costs and entry, and forget about a girlfriend.

Back in the 80's, I was a guest driver of a couple of semi pro Firestone Firehawk races and got to see the edge of pro racing. When friends asked me if I was going to give up my day job and go racing, my response was. If you want to be a pro, you gotta be really talented and ok with
