what are your specific skin issues? I posted further up that I've just started using mac colour correcting primer and it might be what you want. If you find the right primer for you, that deals with redness, shininess, matt skin etc, then you can use foundation really sparingly and still look flawless.

As a tip for sunscreen - whilst spf moisturisers are good they don't last all day. I personally love ultrasun - it genuinely lasts 12 hours (as the palest of the pale and having used it in Turkey i personally vouch for that), you put it on once and it is waterproof/sweat proof etc.
