I don't think I would regret it at all.

My friend uses her teeth.

I want an IUD (Paragard to be exact) and the video freaked me out. A lot.

Kim Kardashian is extremely beautiful. It is astonishingly sad to me that she's had so much work done (I'm not trying to body snark on her at all). I don't really watch the show (I just read whatever's posted on here) and it's disturbing to me how much her face has changed.

I'm going to cosign all that Scary Merry has said. Those books were a great part of my childhood and are a great way to get tweens interested in historical fiction. Happy reading!

No, my problem was that Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer played maids. In 2011. There should be better roles out there for black female actresses.

A bit stereotypical? That's the understatent of the century. That statement, to me, is reductive and seems to suggest that people shouldn't be offended. I take issue with that idea. She may have been nominated in many roles, but she won for playing a maid, which is a problem.

It's more of a problem I have with the roles she's been offered than her actual performance. I think she's fabulous, personally. I just wish she was offered more Award winning roles that were empowering. I guess I'd liken it to Meryl Streep. She could win for playing Margaret Thatcher or a maid, but women of color

I did read them a bit towards the end (the last one I remember reading was about Weetamoo), but I also did enjoy the story about Lady of Ch'iao Kuo and Princess Sondok (I was pleasantly surprised to see princesses of color in that series, it's probably why my mom was so cool with me reading them). I am not a history

No. I'm sorry. I will give them no credit. And I'm not snarking at all. I'm dead serious.

I read the Royal Princess Diaries series (not the ones by Meg Cabot, the ones that were the diaries of past princesses) and while there were very few princesses of color, Nzingha's story was one of my favorites. That's where I was first exposed to her. A movie on her life would be awesome, in my humble opinion.

Cantaloupe?? I've never heard of such a thing! It sounds so lovely!

Republic of Tea? I've heard great things and I definitely want to try it.

I have a Peachy White that I've been drinking from Tealuxe (It's a local shop in Providence/Boston). It's so good!

Thanks for the link! This tea all looks so wonderful!

Chocolate Chili Chai?? I want so badly!! I'll have to take a look!

How in holy fuck did Grover Norquist get so damn powerful? I mean, I had never heard of him and next thing I know, every Republican in Congress is clamoring to kiss his ass.

Don't get me wrong, Octavia and Viola were great. But I'm fucking tired of seeing black women win oscars for playing abusive mothers, mammy, jezebel hussies and maids. I want to see women win for playing Madame CJ Walker and Condoleeza Rice and Nzingha, dammit. Or for being a normal individual instead of some cheap

The Help won Outstanding Performance By a Cast in a Motion Picture????
