...and I don’t even HAVE a Ford 9" rear end!”  HEEEY-O!

Me: “Why ruin a perfectly good action movie with all this romance crap?”

What could be more stealthy on the highway than a Suburban? Wait, I know the answer to that - Toyota Corolla. But good luck getting THAT equipped for a non-stop cross-country run.

I’ve been giving this quite a bit of thought over the years despite having zero intention of actually doing any of it (seriously - the consequences are just too steep for me).

It’s probably more like:

Thankfully, they can’t legally charge for recall repairs. At least in the U.S. (Do please fact-check me, though - I’m not a lawyer)

If I could give you all the stars/upvotes/etc., I would. Training and licensing are at the root of this epidemic. Everything else is merely a contributing factor.

I’m Google’s nightmare. I’m actively giving them my info through a number of their services but I’m so damn *boring* that it makes all their effort worthless. I don’t buy a ton of stuff. I hardly watch anything. If all their money is ad revenue, their actual customers (advertisers) aren’t getting their money’s worth

I can’t sleep in ANY moving vehicle unless is a large ship/boat. Something about being in motion makes me hyper-alert, save for the slow rocking on aforementioned ships/boats which seems to put me right to sleep. I have trouble on 3-4 hour mid-continent flights (I’m in MSP) and would be absolutely miserable on

Two hours, one way. But, weirdly, only 45 minutes the other way. Lemme explain.

Truck... Truck... GREY TRUCK!!!

Garage it. Even at the mall. Even if the mall doesn’t have a garage.

I’m rather torn. On one hand, to hell with TV-oriented time/lap/distance limits! It’s a race and it *should* be a challenge to win. It shouldn’t be an event to be managed into oblivion by whomever is able to best leverage their cashflow, supplies, and data. On the other hand, with F1 being more of a sprint race, we

Since when were facts OR context meant to have anything at all to do with internet outrage? To borrow a phrase... <ahem>: “Ain’t nobody got time fo’ dat!”

There are more reasons to keep your fuel (yes, *fuel* - this applies to all kinds of fuel, not just gasoline or diesel) from running too low.

My 2017 Sierra does the same backing out of my driveway, now. Interesting point - it *didn’t* happen until the city came by and resurfaced our street with that fine gravel stuff over the top of what looks like seal-coating. It was previously smooth(ish) asphalt. I suspect the “radar signature” of the street is now

Counterpoint:  Jared Kushner.

Side note: You know you’re getting old when you start referring to things/places as they *used* to be.

GMC (and Chevrolet) have lagged behind in this kind of tech for YEARS in the full-size pickups. I’m glad they’re finally getting caught up but I’m quite angry that they’re adding these “gee-whiz” features rather than catching up on existing tech with the competition.

I’m a shade over 6-foot-nothing with an early NA and I only really need more room for my right knee where it bonks against the center stack. A bunched up rag for padding is all I really need, though.
