I would argue that the 928 motor is not the problem with these cars, in fact they can make lots of hp with some mods. Expensive parts, sure. Hard to work on, no just different than a sbc, and requires some special tools.

This is a wing done correctly, loading goes dirrectly into the suspension, not on to the body. Put enough wing on the body and you just compress the suspension to the bump stops.
