Lead pic looks like a FSO Warszawa M20 to me. The M20 was one of the uglier modernized later versions, the earlier one was a hunchback/fastback design and was based on the GAZ Pobeda. I visited the factory once here in Warsaw (same place they built the Polonez I think).

I appreciate that the point many people are trying to reach here is that Republicans are trying to take attention away from the gun side of the issue, but let’s not pretend that people who are filled with enough hate to conduct mass shootings are somehow sane.

Here in Poland, RHD cars are called onions (loose translation of w cebuli) because of the stereotypical tendency of rural kids to buy and import cheap S-classes and similar off the British Copart to make themselves look like high rollers. Also, winter beaters / drift missiles are called rubble (gruz).

Interesting... thanks for the info. One of those cars with leather is something special. Now to find one before they get too expensive...

I guess it was an option here? Didn’t they all come with leather in other parts of the world though?

As someone also named Raphael who wants a MKIII more than oxygen... do it. Please. Do it, because I can’t

It’s nice that someone can say “I drive a Cactus”

Polonez enthusiasts. We love them because they’re pretty much all our country has to claim in the way of a readily available car with Coolness Potential. Not that there aren’t lots of others like BMWs and such, but this one is our own...

Hey Torch (and whoever cares), there was also a rare FSO Polonez variant (one of two limited run coupe variants) which had them. Probably a development of the Polski Fiat ones, as P-F and FSO were related.

Saw that a while back. Pretty sure it was at around $11K last I checked. Hope it goes to a good home.

Interesting, I’d never looked at them that way. I still don’t mind it though haha

I have ~150 polonez pics saved so this sentence accurately describes most of the cars I like

Interesting. I had no idea the 900 was related to the Astra. I wonder how it would have turned out if they just went ahead with the GM plan.

Just that a lot of SAAB aficionados seem to say GM-era ones “aren’t real SAABs”...

Gotcha!

Wasn’t SAAB owned by GM for the last 20 years of its existence though?

I’ll take mine in yellow on Enkeis, please!
