The thing that seems off is a newish rack and pinion going bad. I’d say it’s probably just a bad reman part but it was replaced by a Lexus dealer so probably an OEM part. I wonder if the front end has a severe geometry issue from being hit sometime in it’s previous life.

For the most part same. It’s good to have backups though. My cards get locked down regularly for fraud prevention. Annoyingly the one time they did get stolen, they happily let someone buy $99.99 worth of gas at multiple gas stations in a day...like, come on.

Kids are only babies for a few years and then they can get in and out on their own. Any 4 door car is fine anyway.
