They wanted to be the Japanese VW I guess. Slightly upscale versions of economy cars.

There’s nothing that differentiates a Mazda from anything else anymore except the Miata and I see ten BRZ’s for every Miata and from what I understand the BRz barely sells either.
I think that means “they get good reviews from Jalopnik and Jalopnik commentators”
This is why I don’t really get why so many obsess over Mazda. Besides the Miata they don’t make any enthusiast stuff anymore. They make pretty good cars and CUV’s like everyone else. They’re just coasting at this point with old drivetrains.
Go to a Play-It-Again sports or your local equivalent or used marketplace and pick some used ones up for $30.
Lots of aging gen-Xers that spend insane amounts of time obsessing over Bring A Trailer and niche VW fetish sites have inheritance money to blow.
Limping around a motocross track a few times is just a niche novelty at best.
Not really awesome anywhere unless you are literally a professional and have unlimited medical coverage. Don’t read too much into the marketing. There’s no getting past 500lbs of weight and the lifechanging injuries that go with wadding one of these up.
Founder’s previous helmet company POC makes overpriced junk
Harbor Freight just sources generic Chinese contract factory tools. Just go on Alibaba and you can find them.
I think KTM is the only hope to get some substantial updates to 2 strokes. No other manufacturer seems interested in chasing those dollars and seems happy enough to abandon motorcycles altogether - SxS’s make more money even though they’re substantially worse for the environment and cause way more erosion. Might as…
Modern FI2-strokes are quiet and barely have any emissions. Problem is a lot of old timey knowledge still abounds and everyone puts aftermarket pipes and runs super rich mixtures on them.
Seems pretty dangerous. Diesel seems to be a lot more variable than automotive gas let alone AV gas. My friends are always messing around with water separators and filters on their diesel trucks. Plus there’s virtually no supply at any airport anywhere.
Seems like a lot of rotary issues are caused by super high RPM operation. Seems like it would be worth making a larger displacement low-RPM rotary.
I switch between cruisers, street bikes and two strokes all the time. It’s not that big of a deal.
Any van or CUV.
There’s no way someone buying multiples of steering wheels and gauge clusters and not installing them isn’t a hoarder.
Anyone who is nostalgic for Indian i4 engines is pushing 100 years old.
All motorcycles are up. Everyone got government checks for toys and had unlimited free time. HD wasn’t at the mercy of overseas supply chains and had lots of inventory when other powersports dealers were drying up.
They were supposed to catch up every year for the last 10 years. The ONLY product I’ve seen that I think that has a remote chance of being competitive is the EV Hummer. Finally, someone built a crazy, desireable product that also happens to be electric - and beating Tesla to the punch for once. It’s something Tesla…
