Terrible is extremely hyperbolic. Subaru has a reputation of building oil burning engines that blow up. GM builds mediocre vehicles with very reliable powertrains.

This comment sounds like it came from 2015.

You’d be stupid to buy a shitty commuter car and sell it after a few years. You run it into the ground, let it bake in the sun and get $2,000 in 15 years after you put 250,000 miles on it. No matter what you buy unless it’s a Bugeye WRX you’re probably getting the same for it. A automatic Crosstrek is getting dumped

Not sure about Hyundai but Subaru dealers don’t give discounts, at least in my area. Chevy dealers make it rain. I have two friends that bought Chevy Cruz’ that they didn’t even want just because the deal was so good compared to every other dealer.

I feel like they develop them just beyond “crippled and unuseable” in order to hawk them on TV commercials.

Any SUVish vehicle that starts under $20,000 is cheap. All the vehicles in the class are priced similarly with minor variances.

Around the same time the Citroen SM won that award (first foreign car to do so) and they canned the editor due to the lost advertising dollars (Citroen was already on the way out of the US market) so I’d take those awards with a heavy, heavy metric ton of salt.

That’s basically the entire powersports industry. Riding areas and tracks are closing so you need to go farther and farther away. There was a huge bump in sales during Covid since nobody could go to concerts and sports so money got directed towards toys, but we’ll have to see if it sticks long term.

They didn’t get “rid” of Victory. They just got rid of the arm-band tattoo styling and replaced it with Indian.

Almost 10% doesn’t seem like a rounding error to me.

“world famous”

Buy this, park it on some desert land near Palm Springs, decorate with some hippie chic junk, profit.

Anyone who buys this will put 500 miles on it per year max. It’ll be driven to Joshua Tree for some deserty-chic photo-ops and that’s about it.

I put a 800lb pop-up slide-in in my 180hp 4 cylinder pick up and it became very uncomfortable to drive, especially in the wind. It was a lot smaller and had canvas sides to lower the weight. Can’t imagine how bad this would be.

Guessing it was a 4x4 Ranger if it took $3,000 to fix the front end and cost $5,000 to begin with. You’re always gonna pay a lot more for an offroad vehicle.

Yeah but your maintenance was baked into the price you paid for the car and the cost to charge is taken out of your paycheck.

Almost half of all co2 emissions is from power generation, add in industrial and that’s 3/4. San Onofre got shut down because of the regulatory environment. We need nuclear power and California is going the opposite of that. Add in air travel being a co2 contributor and a tiny fraction is personal cars.

Every brand already sells EVs basically. Not sure what you are getting at.

So literally the least effective thing to actually combat climate change? Sold to his constituents during the worst possible time ever? By a government that can’t even figure out how to keep shanty towns from popping up in people’s neighborhood? You must work for the democrats.

India has a billion people. You can’t make a blanket statement like that. Just a tiny fraction of a percentage of motorcycle sales has a massive upside.
